Prepare the bean cakes:

In a large bowl, mash the black beans until smooth. Add the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, olive oil, Melvins Herbal Seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
Form the cakes:

Shape the bean mixture into small patties, about 1 inch thick.
Cook the cakes:

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the bean cakes for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
Prepare the spinach:
